As we all know, women living with metastatic breast cancer often face challenges distinct from those with earlier stage disease and, for many, the desire to share their stories and connect with other members of the metastatic breast cancer community is an essential part of the journey.
This fall, AstraZeneca is launching Beyond Pink: Our Metastatic Breast Cancer Story, a campaign born out of feedback from the metastatic breast cancer (MBC) community that there is a desire for more tailored information and resources specific to MBC, particularly those featuring the experiences of real women.
A website hosting these materials, www.LifeBeyondPink.com is now live, and we’re encouraging the broader community to go Beyond Pink during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, to talk about the important issues facing all women living with breast cancer.
In addition to encouraging women to change social images to one of our MBC-focused photo frames/skins available at www.LifeBeyondPink.com and continue to post photos and stories on the MyMBCStory Facebook page and by using #MBCStrength, for the second year in a row we are shining a spotlight on metastatic breast cancer in New York’s Times Square where we will be featuring the women of #MBCStrength and information about MBC on a Times Square Billboard during Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day, October 13.
