I’m a filmmaker/writer from Minneapolis, MN and I’ve written a screenplay–Blue Balloons–based on my experience of caring for my mother during her cancer treatment. The story follows one family as they search for hope during the ups and downs of caring for their mother.

I’ve launched a crowd-fundraiser through Kickstarter to promote the movie, and if you’re interested, I could use your help spreading the word. Blue Balloons is truly about reaching out to those people who’s lives have been profoundly impacted by cancer and telling their story with compassion, beauty, and honesty.

Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing style of fundraising, which means we have to reach the goal by the deadline (October 15th!) or zero contributions are received. People “back” or support the movie by pledging a certain amount of money and in return, they receive a reward produced by the filmmaker. Would you be willing to post a link about my project on your blog or social media pages?

We’re trying to make a final push these last 5 days, so any assistance you could offer is greatly appreciated. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
