Spread Halloween Cheer to Children in Local Hospitals with Special Events and Bedside Packages
WHAT: Get Pumped..kins! Helpful Hondaween is back and it’s time for fun costumes, kid’s activities, and FREE pumpkins for SoCal families! According to National Retail Federation, an estimated 157 million Americans will celebrate Halloween this year, and the average person is expected to spend $74.34 on festivities.
To help carve out the good times, the Helpful Guys in Blue will stopping by 25 pumpkin patches throughout October to surprise families with THOUSANDS of FREE pumpkins. Look out for the Guys In Blue in their iconic blue polo shirts in cities throughout SoCal — from LA County and Orange County, to Riverside and San Bernardino County, and over to Ventura!
SoCal Honda is also bringing Hondaween cheer to local Children’s Hospitals! The Guys in Blue will surprise kids in their playrooms or bedside with fun activities like pumpkin decorating, Halloween arts and crafts and will even provide complimentary costumes, Halloween decorations, and Helpful Hondaween glow in the dark pails for trick-or-treating! Helpful Hondaween celebrations will take place at local children’s hospitals including Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach, Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA, Riverside County Regional Medical Center, Huntington Hospital (in Pasadena), Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Ventura County Medical Center, and more.

WHY: Why? It’s our job to be helpful. Buying pumpkins for residents across SoCal, giving back to children at local hospitals, and surprising firemen with breakfast and lunch to say thank you throughout September are just some ways the Helpful Honda Guys are spreading random acts of helpfulness. This summer, SoCal Honda sent out a Free Ice Cream Truck to delight kids of all ages with free ice cream, and dispatched its Big, Blue Tanker Truck to surprise loyal Honda drivers with complimentary gas during busy summer travel. Other Random Acts of Helpfulness include helping residents load groceries; picking up litter at parks, beaches and shopping plazas; giving thrill-seekers complimentary parking at Magic Mountain, and even surprising Dodgers fans with upgraded seats and tickets to upcoming games! It’s their job to be helpful –no strings attached.
