Grit2Glory – No Retreat No Reserves No Regrets

Grit featureRecently, I was fortunate enough to discover a most interesting and unique website that was created by a very special individual named John Brydon.  John has a very special inspiration for the work that he is doing and an awesome way of carrying out his plan, as you will read in this summary:

“The inspiration to create Grit2Glory came after hearing a sermon at church. Raised in a broken home, our family struggled to find our place in the world. This was harder for our younger sister, Jennifer. She was handicapped and independence was much more difficult for her. Eventually, Jennifer was able to move into her own apartment and find employment. We always shared the dream that we would build some type of business to help others who had challenges. When she passed away in 2010, I carried guilt for not acting on her ambitions. This, combined with time spent working at ground zero, observing our young soldiers bravely defending our country, and doing the Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Run, formulated the idea of Grit2Glory. “No Retreat. No Reserves. No Regrets” was inspired by the reading of missionary William Borden’s notes during a church service. His story is on grit2glory.com.

John is making a difference in a very positive way and I hope that we all can help him to continue with those efforts in a big way.

The plan is to build Grit2Glory into a sportswear brand to rival Nike, Reebok, Adidas, etc. Our tag line, NO RETREAT. NO RESERVES. NO REGRETS. tells the story of achievement. When one takes on a goal, the first thing you have to do is commit (No Retreat). Then you have to give it your all ‘til you have nothing left (No Reserves). If you do the first two you should have No Regrets because you’ve done all you can do!

We say in our mission statement “Win or lose, the beauty is in what you learn about yourself in the struggle and our mission is to celebrate the journey with you.

”

This message is universal to all achievement. And this brand will be built by giving back. We will create products to fundraise and recognize real role models, people who are enduring tremendous struggles, and to use their stories to encourage others.”

Here is John’s request:

At Grit2Glory, we offer a forum to recognize real achievers and to encourage others. Soldiers, police officers, firefighters, cancer survivors and the physically challenged, aspiring athletes and performing artists, students, and parents laboring to support their children’s futures, true role models are around us every day without expecting or receiving recognition. Please share your stories with us, purchase a shirt, and Wear Your Motivation!

I would like to suggest that you take a few minutes and visit John’s site at grit2glory.com for yourself.  There are plenty of T-shirts from which to select to show your own Grit2Glory endeavor or to support a campaign in which you wish to participate.  Or perhaps you could share the information about what John is doing with others who may also wish to make a purchase or to involve John in their fundraiser.  John is making a difference in a very positive way and I hope that we all can help him to continue with those efforts in a big way.
