It seems to me that there has been a change in the atmosphere very recently wherein I have been seeing people taking more responsibility for their own actions and being truthful and honest. I don’t know exactly what has caused this but to me it represents a return to better times for all of us. I know that a lot of people believe that the only return to better times will be when the economy
If you are true to yourself, you will know that you are the best person that you can be and that you are doing the very best that you can. It won’t matter what other people think or do and you just may influence others to behave in the same way.does a big turnaround and when the government stops spending like there is no tomorrow but I don’t think that any of that will really happen until we learn that how we conduct our personal lives and how we treat each other is the basis for everything else.
For a very long time, I saw a surge in people not taking responsibility for their own actions. They blamed anyone and anything when things went wrong except for themselves. They were in a certain situation because someone did something to them. Something went wrong and although they know that they were the ones who caused the problems or made the mistakes, they always blamed anyone else that they could. Of course, all of these behaviors are based upon lies and the belief that anything is better than being the one who may be punished for the mistake or bad behavior.
Does this remind you of when you were a child? Kids try to get away with whatever they can until such time as they are taught about responsibility and how to treat other people. But, if no one teaches a child about honesty and responsibility, they will grow up with a set of values that tells them that anything goes and that you can do anything that you want and treat others however you wish as long as you get what you want. How very sad for any child who has never learned otherwise and has become an adult with these beliefs.
I must say that just because I have seen a change in my own sphere does not mean that people everywhere have embraced these values. But, I do know that for every person who chooses to be responsible for their own behavior and decisions and how they treat others, they are affecting their entire sphere. Each person who embraces these values knows what it means to have self-esteem and a trust in knowing that if you do the right thing, you will always be better for it. If you are true to yourself, you will know that you are the best person that you can be and that you are doing the very best that you can. It won’t matter what other people think or do and you just may influence others to behave in the same way. And when/if that happens, you will know a life that you could never have imagined.
