What a beautiful idea. With the relationship that the two of you have, there is no way in the world that he will not love what you have done. You certainly have something so very special to have conceived of something like this. No money in the world could ever buy him a greater gift than all of the love that you have for him. I just know that this will be the best Christmas ever. You are awesome. Thank you so very much for sharing this and yourself with us.

Hi Barbara,
I have a very special someone in my life that the Lord gave to me too. He also does not have everything but is the hardest person for me to buy for. I put together a book of special memories and pictures for him this year from our 10 wonderful years together so far and wrote alot of things in there that only he would understand, you know those things you have between you and your special someone that no one else will ever know. Its the kind of present in my mind that will be here long after me and will remind him if the Lord ever takes me home, that in my time here I loved him well and and will take him with me in my heart forever.
I didn't have alot of money this year and I hope he likes the gift...sometimes..something from the heart sometimes beats anything you can buy. Just my thought for this year. :o)

I really like the line of thinking about the movie/hotel deal. It was very cool. I agree that my husband usually does the same as yours with getting things that he wants when he needs them. He is into electronics mostly and can always find the best deals for the products that he wants after spending hours and hours researching everything. If I ask him what he would like, he always says he doesn't need anything. But most of all, he loves surprises so that is why I was seeking the help of others. Thanks for the lead that you provided.

I can certainly relate to your dilemma. For me ~ it's very hard to buy for my husband. He has everything he really wants. And if he doesn't have it, he will just buy it. I asked him for a few ideas ~ and he obliged. He also bought himself a pair of sunglasses for himself that I wrapped and put under the tree. The thing is, the person that means the most doesn't need anything but YOU!!! That's what my hubby keeps telling me. The gift of love or service is more than enough. What about making up a coupon book of your own that he can use whenever he wants? I had a friend that I saw at the movies one time. We talked for a few minutes. Then she shared that she LOVES movies. So her husband booked a night in a hotel that is across the street from the movie theater. Then they woke up and watched about 4 movies in a row. That was her heaven. I thought that was a wonderful idea. Especially since I love movies too. It was a thoughtful gift that really meant something to her. Especially because her husband didn't really like movies. But he put on his best game face and made it special for her. I loved that!! No matter what you find ~ the person that means the most will love it no matter what.
