According to Wikipedia, the Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration awarded by the United States government. It is bestowed on a member of the United States armed forces who distinguishes themself &quot;conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States.  How proud you must be of your father and how grateful we are for the men and women of this country like him.</description>

Just as MANY towns celebrate Memorial Day, our local town celebrated with a ceremony to ALL the (Living &amp; Dead) Vets - that have gone un-noticed thru the years...Among MANY VARIOUS Veterans, my Dad was among the list to receive a Medal of Honor!! It was a great thing to see, and be a part of history...
